Each dot on this map represents a residential school. Blue dots mean the school is considered completely searched. Yellow dots mean they are either in the process of being searched or there are plans to be searched. Red dots indicate that no search has happened and that no search is currently planned

There were more than 130 residential schools in Canada. This map suggests that only six have been fully searched, and a little more than a dozen partially searched (I counted 15 yellow dots). That leaves at least 109 schools completely untouched.

Let that sink in; if 6,000-7,000 unmarked, indigenous children’s graves were found by searching less than a fifth of all the schools, how many are still undiscovered.

Wikipedia estimates that the body count could be over 50,000, and honestly, that could be a low estimate

The residential school system was a calculated, open, and forthrightly declared attempt at the total genocide of all indigenous peoples in this country. It was literally meant to wipe them out entirely, through a combination of attrition and assimilation.

Never forget that this is what Canada is really built upon.

trans bodies are either fetishized or deemed disgusting and in neither of which do the people doing it recognize the trans person as a human being deserving of equal respect and i think thats the core problem. lack of respect

in a way its kind of a similar problem with fat bodies. theyre either fetishized/sexualized or treated as gross or unhealthy. post-op trans bodies are also treated as gross and unhealthy (trans mens' especially) by a lot of people. and post op/treatment trans womens bodies are fetishized a lot. just treat people normal pretty please

If ur like me and driving urself crazy trying to find a top surgeon but ur fat then look at transbmi. Its a short list of surgeons with high or no BMI limit (some surgeons are listed as having an unknown limit - be extra wary of them as they dont guarantee a high limit)

I had a friend go thru KU Med, and he said they don't have a BMI requirement for top surgery. However, they do have a (flexible) one for bottom surgery, mostly because having hanging stomach fat on a brand new penis will not be good for said brand new penis. So, despite what their website says, BMI is not a factor for top surgery.

I've had 2 friends go thru KU Med for top surgery, one thru Dr. Ponuru, and one thru Dr. Farmer. Both are fat, both are gnc but binary trans men, both had good results. From everything I've heard, the surgeons are very open/welcoming to nonbinary people as well.

He has a google form linked at the bottom of the page for submissions. I do not run transbmi so i cant add the reccomendations i keep seeing in the notes!
